Poems from Nanaimo

After transplant

The seagull looks for a place to sit with comfort on the wave gravitating on the water existing with such grace

The resident ducks had their babies, the fennel shines in yellow its aroma levitating makes the seagulls to bellow

Happy Curls down the street

bounce her braids in bright parade

and my eyes brand new, opened taking in the old chestnut's shade…
