LOS PECES
Ojos insomnes
en el cristal de la memoria
apenas alejándose
ya vuelven vienen buscando tu señal de náufrago
las huellas de tu asombro
la sangre desecha de tus mitos
en vano apagas
la mitad del agua
tu triste indefensión
en vano aludes
tu especie se confunde
en la aparición que te contempla
eres el pez cautivo
a merced de la sombra
bajo el agua.
The Fishes
Sleepless eyes
through the glass of memory
merely gone
returning in search of the castaway signal
after the footprint of your wonderment
the undone blood of your myths
in vain you turn off
that half of water
your defenseless sadness
in vain to allude
your species mingles with
the apparition contemplating you,
you are the captive fish
in the hands of the shadows
under the water
