I am a Cuban-Canadian author, and translator who loves the written word, and believes in dispersing it. Like any other form of art, Poetry is capable of influencing. Our aim is to freely share its beauty with all. May it serve as a source of inspiration in whatever it is you are looking for.
About Me
My Bio
Poetry has been my passion since an early age. My experiences growing up and maneuvering as a woman in a communist country has shaped my creative influences and as of few years back they sprung from thoughts to real words on paper. My works are dedicated not only to Latinas but to women everywhere; I write not only to free and nourish my own spirit but also as a beacon of hope and solidarity for others. Though so many of us are far from home and in strange new lands, I hope my words and expression will play even a small part in keeping us together.
Mi biografía
La poesía ha sido mi pasión desde temprana edad. Mis experiencias, al crecer y construirme como mujer en un país comunista, han moldeado mis influencias creativas y desde el año pasado comenzaron a hacer un recorrido desde el pensamiento al papel. Mi obra está dedicada sobre todo a la mujer, mujeres todas que habitan cualquier rincón del planeta; Escribo para liberar y nutrir mi propio espíritu. Escribo como faro de esperanza y solidaridad para los demás. Muchos de nosotros estamos lejos de nuestra tierra, lugares nuevos y extraños nos acogen. Confío y espero que mis palabras nos ayuden, en cualquier forma posible, a mantenernos unidos.
